Our Beauty Consultants have the unique opportunity to impact guests in the moment by making every interaction count. When we activate our Beauty force of passionate and knowledgeable consultants, guests feel welcomed and inspired to make a purchase. Beauty Consultants make personalized suggestions and solutions through meaningful interactions and sampling events - making the Beauty experience easy and rewarding for guests. It is their priority to put the guest first.

At º£½ÇÉçÇøÆƽâ°æ, we believe in our team members having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. The role of a Beauty Consultant can provide you with the skills and experiences of:

• Adapt communication style to build a trusting relationship with guests and influence beauty regimens 
• Provide personalized beauty product and regimen recommendations through guest engagement, product training, and sampling 
• Retail business fundamentals including inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies
• Beauty product knowledge including: beauty brands, seasonal trends, cosmetics and various skincare products

As a Beauty Consultant, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.   
• Execute daily tasks assigned to you by your leader to help achieve goals that align with business priorities.
• Create an inviting shopping environment by executing salesfloor processes for beauty area which include filling the salesfloor with inventory, straightening merchandise, updating salesfloor inventory counts, maintaining testers and making changes to salesfloor merchandise displays.
• Execute backroom processes for beauty area which include organizing and storing reserve product.
• Stay current on top beauty brands and trends to engage guests with personal recommendations and product sampling, building loyalty and brand affinity.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.  
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at º£½ÇÉçÇøÆƽâ°æ.
• All other duties based on business needs

What we are looking for

This may be the right job for you if:

• You enjoy interacting and helping others - including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work with.  
• You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success. 
• You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times).

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Beauty Consultant. But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go: 

• 12+ months previous beauty retail experience preferred, but not required
• Strong interest and knowledge of beauty and skincare products
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed. 
• Effective communication skills
• Work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly 
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

We are an awesome place to work and care about our teams, so we want to make sure we are clear on a few more basics that we expect:  

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb up and down ladders
• Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others. 
• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
